I am Jan Voordouw and I am the Director of Panos Caribbean, a regional NGO which helps people to participate in development by raising their voices, news and perspectives through the media.  I am very much looking forward to our discussions with/on youth.  I would like to support the remark by Ahlin Byll Cataria that " youth could make a very important contribution to the establismment of rule of law. The "spring revolution" that started in Tunisia is a clear demostration of the role that youth can play."  In Caribbean societies we have also seen the positive influence children can have on their parents, when young people start discussing issues such as domestic violence, birth registration, health or environmental degradation, and put those discussions out in the media.
