The problem:  India is a vast country with 1.2 billion population, of which 48% are females.  As per the Census 2011, among the population, 37% are below poverty level and 72.2 % live in villages.  Some of the villages are very interior and completely rural, without development, lacking even in roads and communication facilities.  Though concerted efforts have been made by the government to address these issues, one has miles to go before the issues are addressed.
